The Accelerated Learning Academy (ALA) work study/internship program offers an opportunity for students to receive credit toward graduation by duties performed and hours worked through on the job training/experience. Additionally, this allows students to explore various career opportunities within Salt River Schools and gain work experience. The internship plan is a mutually agreed upon guide among the student/learner, the mentor, and the ALA. Targeted experience/skillset development may include communication, collaboration, thinking and innovation, decision-making, professionalism, initiative and self-direction, organization, ethics, finance, and various tasks, which contribute to individual/common/department goals of Salt River Schools.
