Public Meeting Notice
This meeting will explain
HB 2862, which authorizes school districts and charter schools to adopt an Instructional Time Model (ITM). An ITM creates flexibility in the method and manner in which instructional hours are provided to students due to absences related to COVID-19.
The Accelerated Learning Academy is required to submit an ITM plan for the 2021-2022 school year, and the extent to which instruction will deviate from a traditional (five-day week, 180-day year) model.

Additional information at this meeting will focus on how ALA students will continue to have daily access to academic instruction and other services should our ITM be approved and implemented.
Another public meeting on this topic will be held during the Salt River Schools Education Board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
